No you need to wait a few days beforwe eating copper sprayed veggies but you do not use a copper based spray in the heat of the summer..it dries so quick it has little or no effectiveness at all..use a fungicide that is not copper based..You are wasting your money..

If you get a block of the real stuff and grind it really fine (or buy finely ground real stuff) it's just like the powdered stuff- it won't clump and it will taste way better! It shouldn't shorten the shelf life if it's heated to the proper temp. The temperature kills the germs and the seal keeps anything from getting in there to grow. Are the beans canned or dry? If dry, you will need to soak them according to the directions to use them to make chili. If canned, you can just drain them. I make a vege version of chile lots of the time, but I generally use a chili mix. Just find a recipe (food tv or allrecipes.com) and substitute the beans for meat. You can use masa flour as a thickening agent if you like thicker chili.
Do it the same way you would if you had meat.
If you have any beef broth, beef base, or beef bullion, you might want to add some to give it a beefy flavor.

Another way would be to leave out the spinach and put a layer of chicken and rice mixture in the bottom of your dish. Layer in your spinach and some of the cheese. Then layer on the rest of the chicken and rice mixture with cheese on the top.
I'd also use minced garlic rather than garlic powder because garlic powder can have a rather harsh flavor.
Tip: I never serve a brand spanking new recipe to guests. I try it out on my husband first. I had one disaster many years ago, I don't ever want to go through that again.

Garlic, %26amp; hot pepper are great ingredients. Add this to some dish liquid and that will help it adhere to the leaves. Make sure you dilute the mixture before applying. Also, be careful; this is some potent stuff. Be sure you wash your hands. I've burned my face rather badly because I wiped my brow in the heat...ouch!
Yes. My father used to make a conconction of garlic and water (and I think he also used hot pepper) to keep bugs and what-not out of the garden. If the little white bugs are aphids, you might be rid of them by dowsing the plants with soapy water.
I got a good education on the garden from the books of Jerry Baker. He gave many such home grown solutions combined with a minimum of commercial bug killers. His books have an abundance of concoctions in the back. Do a Google search on him.

Garlic, %26amp; hot pepper are great ingredients. Add this to some dish liquid and that will help it adhere to the leaves. Make sure you dilute the mixture before applying. Also, be careful; this is some potent stuff. Be sure you wash your hands. I've burned my face rather badly because I wiped my brow in the heat...ouch!
Yes. My father used to make a conconction of garlic and water (and I think he also used hot pepper) to keep bugs and what-not out of the garden. If the little white bugs are aphids, you might be rid of them by dowsing the plants with soapy water.
I got a good education on the garden from the books of Jerry Baker. He gave many such home grown solutions combined with a minimum of commercial bug killers. His books have an abundance of concoctions in the back. Do a Google search on him.
I agree with the last person... use red pepper in the mist, too. I would even sprinkle some into the soil and get it down in there so the insects won't bug it anymore, either.

First, you should try to figure out why it's dropping. Those test strip kits suck....they can easily go bad, and they're just not accurate. I'd recommend spending the 30. and buying API's liquid dropper test kit. Has ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph, and high ph. Much more accurate.
Test your tap water. Get a glass of water and immediately test the ph. Let it sit out at least 12 hours and retest it. That should be roughly what's going on with the ph in your tank. If it's different, then you know the problem is in your tank.
Any driftwood in the tank? Driftwood can lower ph.
Is there adequate aeration in the tank? Usually the output from the filter/waterfall is more then enough to aerate the tank. Don't fill the tank all the way up, leave at least an inch or two for the water to agitate at the surface. That's what allows the oxygen and co2 to exchange out of the water. Too much co2 can lower the ph.
How large is the tank and how many fish are in it? And, how often are you doing water changes/gravle vacs? For a normal stocked tank, 25% weekly water changes and a good gravel vac should be done. Excess waste and uneaten food left in the bottom of the tank will cause your ph to drop as well.
I wouldn't recommend altering the ph, like I said, you should find out the source of the problem and treat that instead. One more thing, if your tap ph does show it's altering like that, and your pond ph is normal/higher, then consider what's in the pond.....some rocks like limestone will cause the ph to rise. If that's the case, just be sure to slowly let the fish acclimatize to the pond water when you get ready to add them. Take a good hour to adjust them to the pond water slowly.

When the minerals are all used up then the ph starts to fall. Ph can fall quickly in this situation causing your fish to get acidosis and die. Its also called tank crash. To prevent this from happening change the water in higher volumes and more frequently. Test your tap water for its ph and total alkalinity. If its low (which is unusal but happens) then you can buffer it with proper aquarium buffers, like R.O. Right and Neutral Regulator (Kent Marine products). Baking soda works BUT it is so easy to over dose and causes problems in that regaurd. So ask a clerk at a higher end aquarium only store and they should be able to help you with your problem. Petco and Petsmart will be lost on this one.

Dead Gourami Help! Here is the thing, i had one Powder Blue Male Gourami and a Gold Female Gourami.?
So, yesterday i decided to try to breed them, and i put them in a smaller tank. I had a heater in there at a steady temp of 80'. I had one floating plant in there, and one plant on the bottom of the tank, also i have a half of a foam cup attached to the top side of the tank(for the bubble nest). So yesterday they were mostly staying on opposite ends of the tank. He chased her for a little bit yesterday, so i left them alone. Today when i got up and through out the whole day the male constantly stayed by his foam cup, he was taking loose food to the cup, and ripped of some plants. Also he nibbled on the foam cup ripping tiny pieces off of it. But he was not blowing bubbles. The Male was chasing the Female more today but not too agressive. I was watching them All day today cause i read that they could get aggresive and you have to watch them. So, i was but then i Stupidly took a nap for 1 hour, and when i got up from nap the Female was DEAD. Somebody please help me figure this out!ThanksDead Gourami Help! You're also supposed to condition them with high quality flake and frozed food like grindal worms or blood worms. I wouldn't have though of breeding a blue to a gold. I don't know enough about gouramis to know if they are even the same species, just different colors? But they are labryinth fish and similar to bettas when it comes to breeding, which I HAVE done. So, goodluck!

Gold bond/Lotramine Athlete's Foot Powder Swollen Reaction?
Prior to this reaction; 2 days ago I soaked my foot in diluted bleach, and had 'normal' skin/foot for a day inbetween then and now. I called poison control about the bleach exposure and they basically said that would not cause this and the amount of bleach when mixed w/ water is no cause for alarm. (even though it was a strong ratio) So with that question out of the way, I can only attribute it to the powders that were intoduced today.
I applied both Gold Bond Maximum strength (blue bottle) and Lotramine AF powders to my toes today at lunch to combat itchy athelete's foot. Tonight my foot is ever so slightly red, swollen and kind of numb. I have since washed my foot to clean it from these powders and now that it's dry its kinda of scaly/ cracked skin and feels like pins and needles.
When I move my toes, they are swollen to the point where a mass of skin kind of bunches up at the base of the toes when flexed up toward the sky...like they are fat. (I'm a skinny guy) It also kinda hurts to move them around.
Will this just go away? Did I OD on Gold Bond? (My foot kind of has that winterfresh tingly feeling to it, but swollen and not healthy/normal looking) Did mixing the two powders disturb the actual tissue/muscule of my toe region? Was there residuals of bleach that reacted w/ the powders? What should I do? I dont think it's to the point where I should seek medical attention, but if the swelling doesnt go down by tomorrow, I will prob get it checked out.
To add, there is a slight clear discharge of fluid from a small crack in the skin presumably from atheletes foot...and the skin surface looks really dry.

Athlete's foot is a condition caused by the fungus candida albicans. The Lotrimin is an anti-fungal. I would encourage you to seek medical attention tomorrow if the swelling does not go down. Ice packs may assist in reducing the swelling.
If your feet are over dry they can swell up which is kinda what your problem sounds like. But some extra moisterizing lotion on it and moisterize your feet. The swelling should go down. Dry skin would also explain the pain, dry skin is painful and has a tight feel to it. In my experiance Gold bond doesn't work well for me (I have dry skin). I use Aveeno. I would stay away from bleach, in chemistry you learn that bleach is actually really bad and on the bottle it says to wear gloves when cleaning with bleach (I believe it does, but now I'm not sure). Bleach would definitly contribute to the dry skin (it really drys my skin out) and I would avoid it. I haven't ever had athletes foot so I don't know what works for that, but I think if you keep your feet clean, dry, and moisterized (not too much), then you should be just fine. i just bought the solid gold seameal as i heard it would help my dogs grow better and healthier coats. my mongrel his fur is really patchy as he keeps eating it off. we have tested him for parasites etc and they all turned out negative. we tried oils shampoos and now we are trying the seameal. we hope it'll work. i am also giving it to my other dogs and hope their coats will improve as well although it's not that bad but i wanted to see if there's a difference for them too.
now i have a few questions.

I've been using Seameal for about 10 years. Everytime you feed your dog, put the recommended amout of Seameal in the bowl and mix it up with a little bit of warm water. The add the food and mix it all up. Our dogs eat twice a day and they get the SeaMeal at each meal. The results are not instantaneous but what happens is healthier skin and therefor, healthier haircoat. I've noticed that with regular use, my dogs don't get fleas or any other dermatitis conditions, I guess because of the healthy skin and just their whole system is healthier and stronger. I think it is a good supplement at a reasonable price

Just use plain baking soda without anything else mixed in. Use a good odor neutralizing litter, or change the box more frequently. Get a covered box. If you use clumping litter and scoop daily, odor should not become a problem. It only takes a minute or two. I wouldn't go putting weird stuff in the litter box. first always make sure your kitty-kitty's box is always clean and in a well ventilated, low traffic area.
don't use baby powder because it's very fine and when the cats dig they'll made little clouds of the powder and breathe it in and that's bad for them. putting a little baking soda in with the litter is ok though.
also try putting a plastic dome over the box to keep the odor from escaping, or use air freshener (when the kittens aren't in the room).

I'm not crazy about the idea of my cats licking that Arm %26amp; Hammer Litter Box Deodorizer off their feet.

hi iam an amatuer body builder. I weigh 165lbs, height 5'10. i lost 35 pounds in last 3-4 months period. i was 200 but now iam 165 which ofcourse iam happy.Iam doing cardio regurlaly, mainly running/waking.. Iam also doing lifting weights and stuff. but with smaller weights more reps( 8-10lbs). iam a vegetarian and eat 4-5 times a day including rice as well.( because iam asian...so i like to eat rice). I still have little bit of belly, flabby stomach and stuff like that, which woobles and stuff...you know what iam saying(it was quite big before).So i definely have lot of fat in my body...thats what i think...

I have very sweaty feet from hyperhidrosis and my feet smell like soap/sweet which is a horrid smell that fills up a decent sized room in minutes. There is an easy surgery that cuts the sympathetic nerves in your feet to cure this if it is real bad and causing you a lot of trouble.

I found a website a wee while ago that sold powders of different things. One of them was mono atomic gold; it's supposed to help clear your mind, make ye feel better and all that. I'm rather sceptical but want to try it for myself. Only thing is, I can't find the site anymore.

I'm not all that convinced about this stuff to be honest. I wanted it to work and to heighten my sense of awareness, but to be honest I didn't notice a thing after taking it for about a month.
I ordered some of the powder from an online store (which I would recommend actually, they have quite a large range of different etherium gold products). I know you can get it in tablet form as well, and there are also other powders available that supposedly have different properties, such as Red Powder and Shamir.
But, in my personal opinion, all it did for me was leave a weird dusty taste in my mouth for a good hour after every time I took some, with no other noticeable effect.

We prospectors call that stuff ';black sand'; and it is an indicator that gold may be present since both black sand and gold are both very heavy and tend to accumulate in the same places in a creek.
Always make sure your hands are clean of any grease or oil, this will increase surface tension and small bits of gold will float. Adding a drop of dish soap to the panning water will help too.
Some of the material will be magnetic and can be removed by hovering a magnet above the concentrates in your pan while they are being slurried. Don't stick the magnet into them because some very small gold particles will be caught up in them. The best way to use magnetic seperation is to dry all the concentrates, then pass a magnet and repan what is left.
The proper way to seperate the rest is to be very patient and do a small amount at a time. They make special tools to further seperate the black sand from gold but unless you do a lot of mining, the expense is not justifiable.
The vast majority of gold is microscopic so no matter how good a panner you are, there will always be some tiny bits left so it is best to keep all the black sand both magnetic and non-magnetic. When you have gathered a large volume, there are some chemical means of recovery. I want to stress that chemical recovery can be dangerous and should be left to the experienced.. If nothing else, it is an excellent soil additive for roses.

Gently rock the pan so that the water washes over your sample and move the pan around so that the sample is in a long trail. Do not be in a hurry. As you work the water slowly backward and forwards you will see the heavy material (hopefully gold) being left behind and the lighter material being washed away by the water. If you are getting small amounts of gold use an eye dropper to suck up the gold grains and squirt it into a small screw top jar with water in it.
The black stuff is probably manganese which is often found in association with gold. Do not allow your dust to dry in the pan as when you add water you may find that your sample and the gold dust will float out over the edge.
Hope you strike the mother load.
Added: When you get your samples home pour off most of the water in your jar and add some hydrochloric acid. You may find that all that glistens is not gold.

Other things will work too, like pigment ink pads, ball point pen ink, and special markers with ink that doesn't dry quickly ...as well as plain glycerin.
You might try using one of those to see if it works.
I'm also wondering about what you're calling ';tinsel'; powder. I've never heard anyone refer to ';embossing powder'; as tinsel powder so just wanted to make sure you have the right stuff. Some very fine glitter can look just like embossing powder but won't melt when heated and may not even stick as well as the embossing powder. You can check to see if what you have is actually embossing powder by putting a little on a sheet of paper, then holding it over a lit light bulb, etc., to see if it melts within 10-30 seconds or so.

I found out from a friend that certain crafting companies make their embossing powders so they will only stick to their own inks--it's a way to keep people from buying the stuff that's well priced. By making you buy all their brand, they can jack the prices up and you're just stuck.
If the pad is dry, try taking it back. I know I have bought regular ink pads before that were supposed to be fine, but when I got them home, they were dry as a bone. Everything will dry out eventually if it's left on the shelves too long.

If it is an embossing pad, I'd check to make sure it is wet when you touch it with your finger. It may have been a really old one that did dry out. If it is dry, try spraying the surface with water and letting it soak in.

i am making a 50th wedding anniversary cake for my boyfriend's grandparents. i found a really cool cake online, and it had different size of thickness strips in gold on the side and then different colored flowers with gold tips on top... i really want to make something like this but i am not sure how to do it... every time i try to make the fondant gold, it comes out more of an orange so i think i am going to use the dust..what technique and stuff should i use? Castings should always be broken out under water as the silica in investment is dangerous to your lungs in in a dry powder form. Heavier materials (eg. Gold) fall to the bottom.
As for the for the waste you have now, soak it in water for a day or two, then sift through the silt.
Always wear breathing apparatus when handling dry investment powder. It is carcinogenic %26amp; causes silicosis.

I mix my whey with milk, and the closest thing in color to milk, and what seems to taste the best, for me, is Vanilla. I've tried other flavors and they're disgusting. If you really blend the vanilla properly it tastes like a vanilla shake, and not bad at all.
Just a personal preference; but everytime I've tried Chocolate or Strawberry it's F'in disgusting, no matter which brand.

You can use hemorrhoid medication on the hot spots, it takes away the inflammation %26amp; relieves the itching. It is not long acting so until you can get to a vet you can use it or a cortizone cream or spray. Any of the anti itch meds will work on dogs too.
Wash the area real good with a medicated shampoo %26amp; let it soak for 10 to 15 minutes before you wash it off. You will find that there is some real slimmy stuff covering the affected area %26amp; you need to let the shampoo do it's job of loosening this stuff. Rince well %26amp; if still slimmy try to wipe it off with paper towel so that the area is dry %26amp; not oozing stuff. Then apply which ever you choose to the dry hot spot. Wash before treatment everytime. You may have to apply your stuff a couple or three times a day depending on the severity.
You do need to have your dog seen by a vet %26amp; possibly get a prednizone shot. Your vet will be able to help you more for a long run treatment.
