I can not find the reloading data for Winchester/ Western 571 ball powder. It was discontinued some time ago. All my old reloading books were stolen some time ago and it doesn鈥檛 show in the newer powder data manuals. Googled it and couldn鈥檛 find much. Need shotgun data and I think some pistol rounds used it, so that data if possible.
And of course I need factory data not guesses or hearsay data.
Aslo Alcan shotgun powder AL-120. This one will be a bugger as they sold out to another company years ago.
Just hate to waste 2 lbs of good powder.
Know where I can find this data?Reloading powder question?
Alright, this is a GOOD question involving lots of research in my archives. I cannot find any data for the AL-120. I have some data for other Alcan powders such as AL-101, AL-5, AL-7 and AL-8 but cannot find the existance of AL-120 or equivalents.
As for your Win/Western 571, you are in luck today. This data is from the November 1976 2nd Edition of the Winchester/Western ';handout'; manual. 12 gauge 2 3/4 inch W/W compression formed cases. Double A, Double A Handicap, Upland and Super-X.

13th edition has WW 571 in it as well about a 1994 vintage handout.
If you need 20 gauge loads please post again.Reloading powder question?
Aside from the resource given in the above answer, you might try here, but I doubt they will have old powder info there.
Sorry Jim,
My old Speer #10 manual lists 571 as a ball powder suitable for 3'; 12 and 20 gauge shotgun loads, but it doesn't give any shotshell reloading data. And it makes no mention of Alcan 120 at all.
I hate to say it, but perhaps you'd better pour it on your wife's flowerbeds come spring.
Doc
When I was new to reloading I got my info from the local library. They had reloading manuals, most of them old. Which is just what you need.
