What's the best way to apply gold bond itch powder to the body and legs?

i usually use creams and lotions, and was surprised to see gold bond was a powder. i would think it's similar to johnson baby powder? anyway, whenever i apply the powder, it ends up all over the place and is really a hassle to apply while at work because of this. what is a good method to apply the powder on myself to reduce messiness as much as possible? like sprinkling it directly to the intended area, or on the hands, rub together and apply? thanks for any tips =DWhat's the best way to apply gold bond itch powder to the body and legs?
Gold bond does make lotions and creams. I think the least messy way to apply the powder would be to pour some into your hands and then apply onto your body and legs. I think sprinkling it directly onto the intended area would end up in powder everywhere.
